Plywood Grades

2 (BB) Class

Image

2 (BB) grade - Plywood is a type of fiberboard often used in the construction and furniture industry. Grade "BB" means that the surfaces are of slightly lower quality. It usually has a smoother and cleaner surface on one side and a lower quality surface on the other. For this reason, this type of plywood is often preferred in applications that require coating or painting. So, if you are going to use plywood in your project and you don't want the surface to be aesthetically perfect, grade 2 (BB) plywood is preferable. Minor restoration of the board surface using veneer joints, sealing knots and open defects is allowed.
